school is catchin up

i just remembered like 20 min ago that i have a lab that is due tomorrow, (it shoulda been done two weeks ago), along with the lab that i have to do tomorrow, on top of that i took a math test today, which i got at most 3 out of 8 correct. my boss at egi is askin about these figures that i’m supposed to have drawn by tomorrow, and my bosses at paulsen are asking if i can come in tomorrow to work…

that’s a lot of stuff for one day:

  • do the lab that’s due tomorrow
  • work on egi stuff
  • work at paulsen
  • and go to lab

stupid computers

the computer at paulsen construction was gettin to be pretty full, so i decided that it was about time to wipe the hard drive, get rid of the dual-boot that was on there and repartition the drive with one drive. because the reason that there were two partitions is no longer an issue.

so i did, except that the dumb thing decided that it wanted to make the new drive (freshly formatted, etc.) drive letter f ??? so i get windows all installed (all the while not knowing it was installing on drive f), which takes about an hour, and then check the thing and notice that its drive f. so i take the drive that was supposed to be f, and change it to d and try to change the new drive to drive c, but it won’t let me. but it’s okay, i’m not too pissed, just a little annoyed, cuz i can easily reformat, remove the conflicting drive, and reinstall windows, not that big a deal, except that when i remove the drive, and go to reformat, the computer doesn’t detect the hard drive !!!  OMG!  so i have to flash the BIOS, fiddle with shit, and finally get it to detect the hard drive after about a half an hour of stress. so it’s finally installing, and i’m playing on another computer, but i just wanted to let everybody know, that computers suck!  just buy ’em and leave ’em alone.

wow…   kate pointed out to me in my guestbook that i haven’t posted in a while, so i looked at the calendar today and noticed that it has been a really long while.

it has been that way because i’m pretty busy with school and what little work i do do. it kinda sucks because i don’t have the internet at home, although i’m supposed to be able to post blog entries from my phone’s text messaging, i can’t, because of some errors i get when i run the script that does it, so i can’t post unless i’m at work or school, in which case i’m usually rushing to get to lab so i can work on the assignment, or i forget, etc. anywho…

we went to a halloween rave on sat night, it was pretty dope, they played lots of breaks, which is okay, when they play the right kind of breaks, which they did, so it was good. aaron carter of cirrus and loki went OFF!  they were throwing down some of the phattest breaks tracks i’ve ever heard, so i went up to aaron carter after his set and gave him props and he gave me a cd, which is cool, and i was all excited to listen to it, but then i threw it in on my way to school, and got all bummed, cuz it has no energy at all. just a nice monotonous energy that never goes up or down (but i guess when you start with no energy, you can’t go down  =/ ).  don’t get me wrong, he’s a good dj…   live. but the cd leaves something to be desired.

so now i’m at school, workin in the library trying to get my optics homework done before class that i haven’t even started yet, so i can go to lab and work on that assignment that i haven’t even started yet either…    so you see now why i haven’t posted in a while. but that’s it for now.

oh, and i tweaked my ankle again on saturday, which sucked, couldn’t play airsoft all day. bummer.

btw, i checked the ip address for ‘kate’ and it came up as a salt lake address, but kate put canada as her address, which makes me wonder about kate’s identity…
so…   who is ‘kate’?

bad sleep

it’s funny…   you think when your girlfriend leaves for a little trip, that you would get the whole bed to yourself and sleep a whole lot better, well…   this isn’t necessarily the case.

my girl left for a little trip to help her friend move from ny to la, and i’ve got the whole bed to myself, but last night, i had the weirdest dreams of my life, and lots of them too, i think i was aware of every dream i had last night.

most of the time, people are only aware of the last dream they have in any given night, because people usually have somewhere between 3-5 rem cycles, and are usually only aware of the last one of the night, but i was aware during every one of them, and it sucked, because if you are aware of your dreams, then your not fully asleep. so my sleep was no good, and i woke up bad, etc.

maybe even while your asleep, you can be used to someone, and miss them when they are gone.

so i’m adding a bunch of photos to my photo gallery, which has this really cool feature where you can upload a whole directory full of photos to the site, and then batch add the whole lot in one try without having to upload each photo individually.

so i upload the photos that i took down in escalante, and when i try to batch add them, it says there are no new photos in the bunch… weird. but not that big of a deal. i just head over to the coppermine website to check on some assistance with the problem…   but guess what?  IT’S NOT THERE! i get a 403 forbidden error when i try to access any part of the site!  how much does that suck?

so i’m sittin here with a bunch of pictures that i may need to upload one by one, which will take all day, cuz there’s like 50 of them. shitty. but anyway, it’s lame how they don’t even support their product anymore.

i’m lookin into changing the photo gallery script, but all the others suck ass, like 4images and some others not even worth mentioning.

i don’t know why, but i am so excited today…  it could be the airsoft game we’re playing tomorrow, or the party tomorrow night, or the sense of achievement i have at moddin the crap out of my board today…  i dunno, but it’s there.

i kinda like moddin my board, it’s fun, except when it doesn’t work. then it sucks, but today… it worked, so it’s good.

i finally went to see a doctor today…  didn’t really need/want/have the money to, but my mom said that she would help pay for it, so i went. she pretty much forced me to go, but whatever…  they took a few x-rays of my foot, and surprise, surprise… nothing was broken, just like i thought, but he said that it would take up to 4-6 months for it to be all back to the way it was before, and he gave me some icing instructions to do like 5 times a day, but who has time to ice their foot five times a day? seriously?   but it’s good to know that it’s not broken, and that after the swelling goes down, he’ll help to put the one bone that is slightly out of place back to where it should be.

so that’s the moral of the story, don’t eat wooden nickels…

well… i played last night. i was supposed to play from 10-12, and then my friend matt was gonna play from 12-2 like he usually does, but there weren’t enough people there for him to get on, so he left and i played from 10-1 all by myself and they closed it down at around 1:15. it was pretty fun after i got through my breaks. i  wasn’t doin so good with the breaks, but oh well, nobody really complained. but would they?  most of the people there were people that i know, and i doubt that they would tell me anyway. but i guess someone was askin the bartender about me, saying that i was pretty good, so that makes me feel good. and i got $50, which is a bonus cuz i wasn’t expecting any money at all.

so i may be playin there again sometime soon. it was fun.

maybe next time i’ll get to play on the big system.  :)

well…  i’m supposed to play at Bricks today, still am, but i fucked up my ankle and that’s all i have to say about that.
